Technical features
ULTRAFIP 638 is a liquid product, suitable for all ferrous metals and plastic materials (for zamak, galvanized and aluminum after a reactivity test that can be performed in our laboratory), specific for the removal of polishing pastes and heavy greases.
It is used with excellent results in electroplating for costume jewelery details and in the eyewear and cutlery industry.
Thanks to its particular formulation, free from boron, EDTA, chlorinated or petroleum solvents, it does not oxidize brass or copper, even with long periods of contact. The use of ultrasound enhances its cleaning power.
The product is totally free from any type of VOC.
Usage and Applications
ULTRAFIP 638 is used in immersion tanks, possibly with ultrasound.
Good degreasing results can already be obtained at temperatures of 50-60 ° C; for situations of heavy dirt (eg polishing pastes containing adhesives, very difficult to remove) it may be necessary to operate at temperatures up to 70-75 °C.
ULTRAFIP 638 is used in aqueous solution, by immersion, under the following operating conditions:
Bath temperature: 50 - 75 ° C
Treatment time: 3 - 30 minutes
Bath formation 10 - 60 g / l

Control of bathing
Using a graduated pipette, take 10 ml of bath cooled at room temperature and place them in a 250 ml beaker.
Add about 50 ml of demineralized water and 3-4 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
The solution will turn pink.
Titrate with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid slowly until pink to colorless and read the ml of hydrochloric acid consumed, which represents the bath score.
A bath prepared at a concentration of 20 g / l will have a score of 7.7 ml.

Alimentation
For each missing point add 2.6 kg of product per 1000 kg of bath.
The Fiprokim Technical Service will provide, during the start-up phase of the plant, the optimal conditions of use, depending on the quality and quantity of foreign substances to be removed present on the surface of the material and the type of plant itself.
