FIPROCIDE 51 is a low toxicity biocide specifically formulated for the complete microbiological protection of water-based products.
FIPROCIDE 51 is chemically described as a mixture of isothiazolinone in water, it contains chloro-methyl isothiazolinone and methyl isothiazolinone. It does not contain phenols and formaldehyde.

Usage and Applications
FIPROCIDE 51 is recommended for the microbiological protection of most water-based formulations such as water-based paints, adhesives, cellulose solutions, polymeric emulsions, fillers, inks, metalworking fluids, additives for concrete etc.
It can be added at any stage of the production process but, since microbiological protection is necessary from start to finish, it is recommended to carefully disperse FIPROCIDE 51 in the formulation as soon as possible, dosing it in "shot" on the volume of water to be treated once or twice. per week.
It is compatible with the raw materials commonly available on the market. It does not cause the alteration of colors and is useful in systems sensitive to formaldehyde.
Strongly reducing or oxidizing agents such as hypochlorites, bisulfites or metal bisulfites can deactivate the active ingredients.
FIPROCIDE 51 is highly effective in preventing microbiological contamination that causes chemical degradation of water-based products. This degradation can produce loss of viscosity, bad odors or discolouration. FIPROCIDE 51 inhibits the development of a wide range of bacteria, fungi and yeasts.
