FIPRODISK 104 is a product based on inorganic acids and particular corrosion inhibitors, suitable for dissolving inorganic calcareous deposits in pipes or heat exchangers.
FIPRODISK 104 cleans the walls of these deposits, without attacking the metal part and is particularly suitable for systems without particular corrosion problems.

Usage and Applications
FIPRODISK 104 is able to dissolve limestone deposits inside the pipes.
The particular corrosion inhibitors contained protect the metal surfaces during the cleaning phase, avoiding corrosion phenomena.
FIPRODISK 104 is used in a 5 to 20% aqueous solution.
At this concentration it can be kept in circulation for at least 6-7 hours for cleaning.
The concentration of use depends on the amount of carbonate to be dissolved.
Theoretically 1 kg. of FIPRODISK 104 is able to eliminate 0.45 kg. of calcium carbonate at 20 ° C.
To descale injection pipes dirty with cement, proceed as follows:
Prepare approx. In an acid-resistant container. 200 liters of 20% solution of FIPRODISK 104
Create a circuit divided in such a way as to be able to recirculate the descaling solution (the FIPRODISK 104 solution introduced into the pipes to be descaled returns to the container from which it is returned to the circuit through the delivery pump)
The duration of the treatment depends on the thickness of the encrustations and the speed of the descaling liquid. In general, the time required is between 40 and 70 '.
After the treatment, rinse thoroughly with disposable water.
Before being discharged, the descaling solution must be neutralized with soda and lime up to pH 7-8.
At the end of the descaling treatment, the circuit must be emptied and rinsed.
After the rinsing phase, an appropriate passivator must be used to neutralize and form a protective film on the metal wall. If necessary, the quantity of FIPRODISK 104 present in the solution can be determined by titration.

Control of bathing
Take 10 ml of the solution to be titrated and place them in the flask
Add 5-6 drops of methyl orange indicator. The solution will turn a deep red color.
Titrate with 1 N sodium hydrate until a persistent yellow color of the solution is obtained.
To obtain the concentration in gr / lt multiply the value obtained by the fixed number “21”.
