FIPROSTRIP 288 is a liquid paint stripper, suitable for the heat treatment in immersion and recirculation systems of parts in iron, aluminum, zinc and painted alloys. However, given the variety of materials that can be treated, it is still advisable to carry out preliminary tests.
FIPROSTRIP 288 is a product specially designed to break up powder coatings.
The product must not be placed in contact with water, as it is not compatible with it and would alter its characteristics.
Paint residues can be conveniently eliminated by adequate decanting and subsequent filtration (for example with separators and / or press filters). The solution will thus have a significantly longer life span.
Usage and Applications
The product is used pure, by immersion or recirculation, and provides the best performance at temperatures between 50 and 60 ° C. The contact time depends on the type and quantity of paint to be removed, usually varies between 20 'and 120'.
Once the details have been treated, rinse thoroughly with water.
The tanks for using the FIPROSTRIP 288 must be built in steel, preferably stainless steel and be equipped with a closing lid to minimize evaporation losses.

Control of bathing
The bath must be checked periodically and, if necessary, topped up in the event of a decline in paint stripping performance.
Take 5 ml of the bath sample, add 100 ml of demineralized water.
Add 5-6 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
Titrate with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid until the pink color disappears.
The amount of acid consumed for the color change gives the bath score, which must be between 12 and 16.
