FIPROSTRIP 291 is an alkaline paint stripper indicated for the removal of paints, resins and organic films from iron surfaces. Specifically designed for paint stripping operations where products with chlorinated solvents (methylene chloride) are not accepted.
FIPROSTRIP 291 quickly eliminates transparent, lacquered and pigmented paints from glasses, metal profiles, tanks and artifacts.
The product is also suitable for use on plastic materials. However, given the great variety of plastic materials available on the market, it is advisable to carry out a preliminary compatibility test, by immersing a sample of material in FIPROSTRIP 291, lasting a few hours.
Usage and Applications
Use as it is from room temperature to 70 - 80 ° C.
For easily removable paints, it is possible to dilute the product with an equal amount of water or more. However, it is advisable to carry out practical tests.
N.B. The product is safe on ferrous materials. Attacks galvanized materials and aluminum alloys.

Control of bathing
The control of the paint stripping bath is carried out by means of titrations.
In particular: Free alkalinity
Take 10 ml of solution with a pipette, place them in a conical flask, add about 100 ml of distilled water, add about 3-4 drops of phenolphthalein and titrate with hydrochloric acid (HCl) 1 N until colorless. The number of ml of 1 N HCl consumed corresponds to the bath score.
The product as it is has a score of approx. 18 ml.

Alimentation
Keep the alkalinity free and the level of the bath constant with the addition of fresh product. Indicatively, the feeding should be done with 1 kg of paint stripper as it is for each kg of paint removed. Characteristics of materials.

The materials of the tank and the heating coils must be in AISI 304 steel.
