ULTRAFIP 601 is a caustic alkaline liquid product formulated for the degreasing of stainless steel and ferrous materials. It is indicated for the removal of oils, greasy substances, carbon residues. It can be used for the removal of phosphate coatings.
Since the product is highly caustic, it causes surface aggression of non-ferrous alloys such as aluminum alloys or galvanized iron. It is therefore not recommended to use ULTRAFIP 601 on these types of alloys unless you want to obtain a slight attack on the surface (priming effect) for subsequent painting. In this case, the product must be rinsed thoroughly after degreasing.
To give the product greater cleaning power against oily contamination, it is advisable to use a detergent condensate that the Fiprokim Technical Service will be able to suggest according to the cycle and operating conditions.
Usage and Applications
ULTRAFIP 601 can be used by spraying or by immersion, under the following operating conditions:

If the product is used as a dephosphating agent, the concentrations must be between 60 and 80 g / l, with treatment times of at least 3 minutes at a temperature between 60 and 80 ° C.
Control of bathing
Take 10 ml of bath, put them in a flask (or beaker), add a few drops of METHYLORANGE indicator.
The solution has a YELLOW color. Titrate with 0.1 N acid until the solution turns RED.
The ml of 0.1 N hydrochloric acid consumed in the titration indicate the score and the total alkalinity of the ULTRAFIP 601 bath. To obtain the concentration of the bath in gr / l, the score must be multiplied by the fixed factor 1.33.
The bath should be checked periodically and maintained at the established concentration with regular additions. A continuous feeding by means of a dosing pump allows to obtain the best results.
For each missing point and for every 1000 liters of bath, add approximately 1.33 kg of ULTRAFIP 601.

Slightly alkaline product, based on soaps, surfactants and cosolvents. It is a totally organic product, free of soda, silicates, phosphates. Suitable for removing oils and lapping pastes from iron, brass, steel, extruded and die-cast aluminum, galvanized and zamak.
Soda-based highly caustic liquid degreaser, with sequestering, dedusting, dispersing and anti-scaling agents. Similar to Ultrafip 601, it can be used as a degreaser and as a de-phosphating agent.
Alkaline product, based on soaps, surfactants, sequestrants, alcohol and amines, free of mineral salts. Suitable for the removal of oils, greases, polishing pastes, tumbling, lapping, from stainless steel, aluminum, plastic. On brass and copper it also exerts a deoxidizing and whitening action. The surface remains hydrophobic.
Based on organic acids, with additives with surfactants. Suitable for removing oils and tumbling and polishing pastes used in eyewear and cutlery. For stainless steel, aluminum, plastic, brass, copper, galvanized material (after testing). On brass and copper it exerts a deoxidizing and brightening action.
