Usage and Applications

Control of bathing
The bath control is based on an acid-base titration according to the following method:
Take 10 ml of bath.
Add about 10 ml of distilled water and a few drops of methyl orange indicator.
Titrate with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid (0.1 N HCl) from yellow to persistent red color.
Let V1 be the volume in ml of acid used for the titration. For a fresh bath prepared at a concentration of 20 g / l V1 = 5; this value constitutes the initial bathroom score.
The number of ml of HCl N / 10 consumed by the titration multiplied by 4 gives the concentration in g / l of the bath.
