Technical features

FLUX 391 is a clear liquid suitable for protecting 300 series stainless steel parts from thermal oxidation that occurs during the welding phase.
The FLUX 391 is not suitable for types 303 and 316F.

Usage and Applications

The pieces must be perfectly degreased and dry. Wet the pieces to be welded by immersion and let them dry. A highly tactile borate film will form, after which the pieces are ready for welding with either an induction welding machine or a flame microcannel.
FLUX 391 is exclusively protective, therefore it is necessary to use a deoxidizing paste for stainless steel for the fluxing (smoothness) of the soldering alloy.

Storage

FLUX 391 is flammable. Therefore, use all the necessary precautions for the use of flammable products.
The treatment of the parts to be welded in the FLUX 391 must be carried out in a place other than the work environment (welding department). The environment must be well ventilated and dry.
