FIPRO DEFOAM 174 is a 100% active substance defoamer suitable for controlling and eliminating the foam generated by any type of resin used in the production of paints and varnishes.
In addition to exerting an effective action against the foam during the mixing phase, it is an excellent deaerant after the finished product.
FIPRO DEFOAM 174 is also suitable for controlling foam in aqueous solutions containing paint residues such as in the water flow cycles of spray booths. FIPRO DEFOAM 174 is characterized by a very high performance.
Usage and Applications
To obtain a good result it is advisable to dose the product in concentrations between 0.1 - 0.3%.
FIPRO DEFOAM 174 can be introduced in any processing phase without creating any inconvenience to the final preparation.
It is advisable to add half the dose of the product before dispersion, to obtain an antifoam action, and to add the second half at the end of the processing, in order to have a defoamer-deaerating effect.
In the spray booths, FIPRO DEFOAM 174 should be placed in a point of maximum turbulence to allow a good dispersion of the product in the reflux water. Generally, in painting booths, the dosage of use is 0.1% of the volume of water to be treated. Depending on the amount of excess paint present in the film of water, a periodic addition of FIPRO DEFOAM 174 must be calculated in order to constantly keep the foam level under control.
