FIPROSTEEL 770 is a liquid pickling degreaser for stainless steel; it is also used as a rust remover to decontaminate any ferrous traces from stainless steel surfaces.
It is formulated without hydrofluoric acid, in order to avoid the hazards associated with the toxicity of this acid. It is an important treatment because, in addition to removing processing grease, it decontaminates and improves the aesthetic appearance of the surfaces, tending to enhance their pre-existing shine.
FIPROSTEEL 770 is used before pickling to eliminate any residual contamination.

Use
Use PVC-lined iron tanks, or if small in size, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.
Dilute FIPROSTEEL 770 1:1 or 1:3 with water by volume.
It should be used pure when it is necessary to clean heavily contaminated surfaces. Apply it using brushes, sponges, or scrubbing brooms, or by spraying or immersion.
Immerse the parts in the solution prepared in this way at room temperature.
The immersion time can vary from a few minutes to over 1 or 2 hours, depending on the type of steel, its thickness, the type of oxide, and the temperature; the same time considerations apply to any spray application, although it is worth remembering that this is a liquid product without a thixotropic effect and therefore dripping will occur after a few minutes.
At the end of the treatment, rinse with plenty of water.
During the cold season, if necessary, the solution can be heated (max 30 °C) using rubber coils with steam passage, or Teflon-coated heating elements.
