Technical features
The product FIPROSTEEL 785 is a product based on sulfuric acid and organic acids, free from fluorides, designed for cleaning, pickling and polishing of stainless steel products.
FIPROSTEEL 785 has a high degreasing and brightening power.
The low emulsifying power allows a longer life of the solutions as the oils separate from the solution, facilitating their removal.
FIPROSTEEL 785 has a high deoxidizing power, it easily removes light layers of oxides and / or carbonaceous particles.
Usage
FIPROSTEEL 785 must be used in aqueous solution, by spraying or by immersion, under the following operating conditions:
Treatment time: from a few minutes up to 25 '
Bath temperature: from room temperature to 55 ° C
Bath formation: use in concentrations between 2 and 7%
The treatment times will be established by the Fiprokim Technical Service during the start-up phase of the plant and may vary according to the type of material to be treated.
Rinse thoroughly with water after treatment.
For the containment tanks of the solution use stainless steel of the 316L series or better coated with antacid material (for example PP).

Check
Frequently and periodically check the concentration of the solution by determining the free acidity (score) with the following method:
take 10 ml of the solution to be analyzed using a graduated pipette and place them in a flask
add about 100 ml of demineralized water
add 4-5 drops of bromcresol green indicator
titrate with 0.1N NaOH (0.1N sodium hydrate) until turning from yellow to green
A bath prepared at 20 g / l has a score of approximately 12 points (ml of sodium hydrate 0.1 N consumed) while one prepared at 70 g / l has a free acidity of approximately 42 points.

Feeding and conduction
The bath must be maintained at the preset concentration values during the start-up phase of the system with product additions with the solution in motion.
For each point of free acidity missing, add 1.67 kg of FIPROSTEEL 785 for every 1000 liters of bath. The product lends itself to being fed automatically by measuring conductivity.
Removal of thermal oxides (calamines) from raw materials or semi-finished products
Removal of processing oxides and oily residues or emulsions
