FIPROSTRIP 287 is a liquid paint remover free from n-methylpyrrolidone (toxic substance), suitable for the heat treatment in immersion and recirculation systems of parts in iron, aluminum, zinc and painted alloys. However, given the variety of materials that can be treated, it is still advisable to carry out preventive tests.
Its balanced formulation combines a high disintegrating power with a high swelling and detaching capacity of the paints.
FIPROSTRIP 287 is a product specially designed to eliminate powder coatings.
The product must not be placed in contact with water, as it is not compatible with it and would alter its characteristics.
Usage and Applications
The product is used pure, by immersion or recirculation, and provides the best performance at temperatures between 50 and 60 ° C. The contact time depends on the type and quantity of paint to be removed, usually varies between 20 'and 120'.
Once the details have been treated, rinse thoroughly with water.

Control of bathing
The bath must be checked periodically and possibly topped up in the event of a decline in application performance.
Take 5 ml of the bath sample, add 100 ml of demineralized water.
Add a few drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
Titrate with 1 N hydrochloric acid until the pink color disappears.
The amount of acid consumed for the color change gives the bath score, which must be between 3.6 and 4 and never drop below 2.5.

Alimentation
The concentration and alkalinity of FIPROSTRIP 287 are maintained by adding, under stirring, FIPROPLUS 910 and FIPROSTRIP 287, in a 1: 1 ratio.
Paint residues can be conveniently eliminated by adequate decanting and subsequent filtration (for example with separators and / or press filters). The solution will thus have a significantly longer life span.
Storage
The tanks for using the FIPROSTRIP 287 must be made of steel, preferably stainless steel and be equipped with a closing lid to minimize evaporation losses.
Avoid knocks and improper handling that can cause product leaks.
Protect from freezing, store away from heat sources, keep containers tightly closed.
