METALFIP 309 is a liquid phospho-pickling agent for the pre-painting treatment of iron, to be used where an energetic deoxidizing action combined with a phosphating action is required.
METALFIP 309 is a low foam product, therefore it is suitable for use in spray machines even at temperatures of 30-40 ° C. Effectively removes processing, protective and molding oils from metal surfaces while simultaneously developing a phosphate coating ideal for anchoring paints.
To increase the degreasing power and the duration of the solutions it is possible to add specific additives.

Usage and Applications
METALFIP 309 is usually used at concentrations between 50 and 150 g / l in volume and temperatures between 30 and 60 ° C. Where a strong detergent action is required, it is combined with the product FIPROPLUS 701.

Control of solutions
Check and adjust the pH of the solution within the suggested range, then titrate according to the procedure:
Take 10 ml of the solution to be analyzed and place them in the glass beaker (or flask).
Add 20 ml of distilled water. Add 5-8 drops of FENOPHTHALEIN indicator. The solution will take on a COLORLESS color.
Titrate the solution obtained, keeping it stirred, with Sodium Hydrate 0.1 N until a PINK color is obtained. This change identifies the end of the titration.
Alimentation
To obtain the concentration in gr / lt, multiply the value obtained by the fixed number 1.00.
Then bring the concentration to the required value.
Precautions
Avoid mixing the product with chlorinated substances.
The product has an acid action and prolonged direct contact with the eyes with the skin causes irritation. Therefore, handle the product wearing gloves and protective clothing.
