The METALFIP 306 is a liquid pickling agent for titanium.
Particularly suitable for the eyewear sector, where optimal conditions must be guaranteed for the entire frame.
Use and Applications
METALFIP 306 should be used as is and, if the contact times prove to be too short and therefore difficult to manage, it can be used by "diluting" it with small additions of water up to a maximum ratio of 1:1.
Immerse the parts in the solution prepared in this way at room temperature; the pickling time can vary from a few seconds to several minutes depending on the type of workpiece and the temperature.
During the cold season, if necessary, the solution can be heated using rubber coils with steam passage, or Teflon-coated heating elements, heating to a maximum of 30 °C.
At the end of the pickling operation, rinse with plenty of water and, if conditions permit, also use a high-pressure jet.

Precautions
Use PVC-lined iron tanks, or polyethylene or polypropylene if small in size.
METALFIP 306 is acidic. Standard precautions for handling acidic products are therefore recommended.
Avoid contact with and inhalation of the product. Wear rubber gloves and respiratory protection. Keep the container tightly closed in a well-ventilated, cool, and dry place.
