METALFIP 306 is a liquid pickling agent for titanium.
Particularly suitable for the eyewear industry, where optimum conditions must be ensured for the entire frame.
Usage and Applications
METALFIP 306 should be used as it is and, if the contact times are too short and therefore difficult to manage, it can be used by "cutting" it with small additions of water in a maximum ratio of 1:1.
Submerge the pieces in the solution thus prepared at room temperature; pickling time can vary from a few seconds to several minutes depending on the type of artefact and temperature.
During the cold season, if necessary, the solution can be heated with rubber coils and steam passage, or Teflon-coated heating elements, heated to max. 30 °C.
After the pickling operation is complete, rinse with plenty of water and if conditions permit, also use a pressure jet.

Precautions
Use PVC-coated iron tanks, or if small in polyethylene, polypropylene.
METALFIP 306 is acidic. We therefore recommend the normal precautions when using an acid product.
Avoid contact and inhalation of the product. Wear rubber gloves and respiratory protection. Keep container tightly closed, in a ventilated, cool and dry place.
