The process
In the spray painting process in booths, the paint particles that do not land on the workpiece constitute the so-called “overspray”, which is collected in a recirculating aqueous solution, the water curtain. In these processes, it is essential to prevent it from adhering to the walls of the booth and progressively clogging the water recirculation system.
For the denaturation treatment, chemical products are therefore used to inertize the paint and coagulate it into small flocs, which are then removed from the water using suitable mechanical devices.
The main chemical products of the denaturation and coagulation treatment are primary coagulants and polyelectrolytes, also called flocculants.
The Fiprokim products
Fiprokim offers a wide range of products for the clarification and purification of industrial water, both wastewater and process water. The line, named WATERFIP, is divided into two groups, coagulants and flocculants, to be used in chemical-physical or dynamic treatment plants and for water treatment in paint spray booths containing dispersed paint or suspended particulates.
