Technical specifications
ULTRAFIP 625 is a strongly alkaline liquid degreaser, consisting of a mixture of caustic alkalis, dispersing agents, dedusting agents, high-performance ionic and non-ionic surfactants specifically for polishing/cleaning pastes, suitable for immersion-only use with the aid of ultrasound.
It has excellent rinsing characteristics.
ULTRAFIP 625 is suitable for degreasing plastic glasses and is compatible with materials normally used in this sector (propionate, polyamide, acetate, etc.). Suitable on ferrous material. Do not use on galvanic coatings, aluminium, EG, HDG, except where alkaline etching is required.
Usage and Applications
For degreasing plastic glasses, it is recommended to use at temperatures of 40 to 60°C, depending on the type of material to be treated, with concentrations varying from 1 to 6% and a contact time varying depending on the quantity and type of paste to be removed (5 to 25 minutes).

Bathroom control
The liquor is titrated by determination of free alkalinity with phenolphthalein indicator and 0.1 N hydrochloric or sulphuric acid titrating solution as follows:
- Pipette 10 ml of the bath, add 4-5 drops of phenolphthalein indicator, 50 ml of demineralised water and titrate with 0.1 N acid until the solution changes from pink to colourless. The number of ml of 0.1 N acid consumed in the titration multiplied by 4.5 gives the concentration in g/l of the bath.
