FIPROSTRIP 287 is a liquid paint stripper free of n-methylpyrrolidone (toxic substance), suitable for hot treatment in immersion and recirculation systems of painted iron, aluminum, zinc, and alloy parts. However, given the variety of materials that can be treated, it is still recommended to carry out preliminary tests.
Its balanced formulation combines high disintegrating power with high paint swelling and releasing capacity.
FIPROSTRIP 287 is a product specifically designed to remove powder coatings.
The product must not be placed in contact with water, as it is not compatible with it and would alter its characteristics.
Use and Applications
The product is used neat, by immersion or recirculation, and provides the best performance at temperatures between 50 and 60°C. The contact time depends on the type and quantity of paint to be removed, usually ranging between 20 and 120 minutes.
Once the parts have been treated, rinse thoroughly with water.

Bath control
The bath must be checked periodically and topped up if necessary in case of a drop in application performance.
Take 5 ml of the bath sample, add 100 ml of demineralized water.
Add a few drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
Titrate with 1 N hydrochloric acid until the pink color disappears.
The amount of acid consumed for the color change provides the bath score, which must be between 3.6 and 4 and never drop below 2.5.

Power supply
The concentration and alkalinity of FIPROSTRIP 287 are maintained by adding, under agitation, FIPROPLUS 910 and FIPROSTRIP 287, in a 1:1 ratio.
Paint residues can be conveniently removed by proper decantation and subsequent filtration (for example with separators and/or filter presses). The solution will thus have a significantly longer service life.
Storage
The tanks for using FIPROSTRIP 287 must be constructed of steel, preferably stainless steel, and be equipped with a sealing lid to minimize evaporation losses.
Avoid impacts and improper handling that could cause product spillage.
Protect from frost, store away from heat sources, keep containers tightly closed.

If necessary, provide a neutralization/degreasing tank, where any paint stripper residue not removed during the first rinse is removed from the parts.
Possibility of adding a specific cover layer to limit evaporation and any vapors.

Before using FIPROSTRIP 286, verify product compatibility with the substrate through preliminary tests. Suitable for removing all major synthetic paints, excluding polyurethane ones.
The operating temperature can range from room temperature up to 50°C.
In order to maintain the product's characteristics unaltered, it must be stored at temperatures between 7°C and 30°C.
