FIPROCIDE 51 is a low-toxicity biocide specifically formulated for the complete microbiological protection of water-based products.
FIPROCIDE 51 is chemically described as a mixture of isothiazolinone in water, contains chloro-methyl isothiazolinone and methyl isothiazolinone. It does not contain phenols and formaldehyde.

Usage and Applications
FIPROCIDE 51 is recommended for the microbiological protection of most water-based formulations such as paints, adhesives, cellulose solutions, polymer emulsions, fillers, inks, metalworking fluids, concrete additives etc.
It can be added at any stage of the production process but, as microbiological protection is required from start to finish, it is recommended that FIPROCIDE 51 be thoroughly dispersed in the formulation as soon as possible, dosing it by "shot" over the volume of water to be treated once or twice a week.
It is compatible with commonly available raw materials. It does not cause colour alteration and is useful in formaldehyde-sensitive systems.
Highly reducing or oxidising agents such as hypochlorites, bisulphites or metalbisulphites may deactivate the active ingredients.
FIPROCIDE 51 is highly effective in preventing microbiological contamination that causes chemical degradation of water-based products. Such degradation can produce loss of viscosity, bad odours or discolouration. FIPROCIDE 51 inhibits the development of a wide range of bacteria, fungi and yeasts.
