FIPROCIDE 52 is a specially formulated product for controlling the growth of algae, bacteria, and fungi in cooling towers and circulating water.
For the initial treatment, the systems in question must be decontaminated from all forms of scale and algae by slowly dosing 40 - 50 ppm of product.
Subsequently, additions can be made every 2 - 5 days at a rate of 5 - 10 ppm.
The product can be introduced at the base of the cooling tower or on the delivery side of the circulation pump.
FIPROCIDE 52 also exerts its antibacterial action in water-curtain spray booths, where it is introduced directly into the booth's tank. Dosages depend on various factors (turbulence, amount of overspray, operating volumes, temperatures, etc.).
The preliminary treatment is around 1000 ppm (1 kg/m3). Subsequently, a maintenance treatment of 500 ppm (0.5 kg/m3) will be carried out every 3-5 days.
FIPROCIDE 52 operates at a pH between 6 and 8 and is non-corrosive to metals.
