METALFIP 304 is a chemical brightener for copper and its alloys. Suitable for the treatment of brasses with a high copper content, it is an acidic liquid compound to be used as is and, therefore, able to prevent any possible dilution error. Its high solubility in water makes rinsing very easy after treating the parts.
METALFIP 304, within the recommended contact times, does not attack metals as it contains suitable inhibitors.
Use and Applications
In order to obtain the best brightening results and avoid deterioration of the bath, it is advisable to precede it with:
Decontamination to remove oils and greases
Cold rinsing, or preferably, with warm water
Drying
This latter operation is recommended to avoid introducing water into the METALFIP 304 bath, which, however, can be tolerated up to a maximum of 5-10% of the total volume.
METALFIP 304 can be used in PVC-lined iron tanks.

Precautions
METALFIP 304 is a strongly acidic product; it is therefore advisable to take all necessary precautions for its handling (goggles, gloves).
In case of contact with skin, wash thoroughly with plenty of water.
