Technical specifications
The ULTRAFIP 607 degreaser is suitable for all metals. It is particularly recommended for removing polishing and lapping pastes, emulsifiable and neat oils, with the aid of ultrasound. ULTRAFIP 607 operates in a practically neutral environment, therefore it is suitable for aluminum, brass, and zamak.
The product avoids the excessively alkaline conditions typical of many degreasing processes. The absence of caustic soda eliminates risks for operators, just as the absence of lignosulfonates prevents problems during wastewater treatment. Foaming.
The product can be used as a highly degreasing additive for alkaline baths.

Bath control
The bath is titrated by determining the total alkalinity with bromocresol green (BCG) indicator and 0.1 N hydrochloric or sulfuric acid titrating solution, operating as follows:
- pipette 10 ml of the bath using a graduated pipette, add 4-5 drops of BCG indicator, 50 ml of demineralized water and titrate with 0.1 N acid until the solution changes from blue to yellow.
The number of ml of 0.1 N acid consumed in the titration multiplied by 6.9 gives the concentration of the bath in g/l.
WARNING: this determination is valid for an initial bath prepared with low-hardness water. The factors influencing the reading are:
a) Water alkalinity due to hardness and other salts. This should be predetermined, case by case, and subtracted from the analysis consumption.
b) Alkalinity coming from pastes and oils (particularly emulsifiable ones).
