ULTRAFIP 625 is a highly alkaline liquid degreaser, composed of a mixture of caustic alkalis, dispersants, dedusting agents, high-performance ionic and non-ionic surfactants specific for polishing/buffing compounds, suitable for immersion use only with the aid of ultrasound.
It features excellent rinsability characteristics.
ULTRAFIP 625 is suitable for degreasing plastic eyewear and is compatible with the materials normally used in this sector (propionate, polyamide, acetate, etc.). Suitable for ferrous materials. Do not use on electroplated coatings, aluminum, EG, HDG, except in cases where alkaline etching is required.
Use and Applications
For the degreasing of plastic eyewear, its use is recommended at temperatures from 40 to 60°C, compatible with the type of material to be treated, with concentrations ranging from 1 to 6% and a contact time that varies depending on the quantity and type of paste to be removed (from 5 to 25 minutes).

Bath control
The bath is titrated by determining the free alkalinity with phenolphthalein indicator and 0.1 N hydrochloric or sulfuric acid titrating solution, operating as follows:
- take 10 ml of bath using a graduated pipette, add 4-5 drops of phenolphthalein indicator, 50 ml of demineralized water and titrate with 0.1 N acid until the solution turns from pink to colorless.
The number of ml of 0.1 N acid consumed in the titration multiplied by 4.5 provides the concentration of the bath in g/l.
