Technical specifications
ULTRAFIP 627 is a liquid product, suitable for all metals, specifically formulated for the removal of polishing pastes and heavy greases.
It is used with excellent results in electroplating for costume jewelry parts and in the eyewear and cutlery industries.
Thanks to its special formulation, free of boron, EDTA, chlorinated or petroleum solvents, it does not oxidize brass or copper, even with long contact times. The use of ultrasound enhances its cleaning power.
Use and Applications
ULTRAFIP 627 is used in immersion tanks, preferably with ultrasound.
Good degreasing results can already be achieved at temperatures of 60-65 °C; for heavy soil conditions
(e.g. polishing pastes containing adhesives, which are very difficult to remove) it may be necessary to operate at
temperatures up to 75 and 80 °C.
ULTRAFIP 627 is used in aqueous solution, by immersion, under the following operating conditions:
Bath temperature: 50 – 80 °C
Treatment time: 3 – 30 minutes
Bath make-up: 10 – 60 g/l

Bath control
Using a graduated pipette, take 20 ml of the bath cooled to room temperature and place them in a 250 ml beaker.
Add approximately 50 ml of demineralized water and 3-4 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
The solution will turn pink.
Titrate slowly with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid until the color changes from pink to colorless and read the ml of hydrochloric acid
consumed, which represents the points of the bath.
A bath prepared at a concentration of 20 g/l will have a points value of 8 ml.

Storage
For each missing point, add 2.5 kg of product per 1000 kg of bath.
