Usage and Applications
Fields of use:
- clarification tanks,
- sludge dewatering of inorganic origin
The WATERFIP 840 is well suited for wastewater from any industry. In sludge dewatering, the product is well suited for inorganic sludges from metallurgy, iron and steel industry, brickworks, mineral extraction, inert washing, primary water clarifiers, etc.
WATERFIP 840 dosing must be researched on a case-by-case basis after laboratory tests and then in the plant.
WATERFIP 840 should be applied in an aqueous solution at a concentration not exceeding 5%. Two techniques can be used for preparation.
a) Stock solution
This consists of preparing a solution at a maximum concentration of 5% in water with a paddle shaker (avoid propellers) at 200-500 RPM, leaving it for up to 30 minutes. If an agitator is not available, a pump can be used by recirculating the solution inside the preparation tank. The solution remains active for about 24 hours.
.b) In-line dissolution
This consists of bringing the product into contact with the dissolution water, at a maximum concentration of 5%, using a special "static mixer". Due to the low viscosity of the product, WATERFIP 840 can also be used as it is.
