WATERFIP 840 is an anionic liquid flocculant in an aqueous emulsion. The absence of organic solvents gives the product a very low environmental impact. The product is effective in a pH range from 6 to 14 and can be used alone or together with primary inorganic and organic coagulants depending on the application.

Use and Applications
Fields of application:

- dewatering of inorganic sludge
WATERFIP 840 is well suited for wastewater from any industrial sector. In sludge dewatering, the product is well suited for inorganic sludge from the metallurgical, iron and steel, brick, mineral extraction, aggregate washing industries, primary water clarifiers, etc.
The dosage of WATERFIP 840 must be determined case by case, following laboratory tests and then in-plant trials.
WATERFIP 840 must be applied in an aqueous solution at a concentration not exceeding 5%. Two techniques can be used for preparation.
a) Stock solution
This consists of preparing a solution at a maximum concentration of 5% in water using a paddle stirrer (avoid propellers) at 200-500 RPM, leaving it for a maximum of 30 minutes. If a stirrer is not available, a pump can be used to recirculate the solution inside the preparation tank. The solution remains active for approximately 24 hours.
b) In-line dissolution
This consists of bringing the product into contact with the dissolution water, at a maximum concentration of 5%, using a special "static mixer". Given the low viscosity of the product, where conditions permit, WATERFIP 840 can also be used as is.

Storage
WATERFIP 840 is supplied in various types of packaging which must be stored in the original packaging in areas protected from direct sunlight. Avoid storing the product at temperatures above 40°C or below -5°C.
