FIPRO DEFOAM 155 is a silicone-free, aqueous emulsion defoamer and, given the composition of its raw materials, is suitable for defoaming in all industrial processes where water, in combination with foaming agents, generates a volume of foam that hinders regular production.
FIPRO DEFOAM 155 acts both at the surface level, eliminating foam bubbles, and within the bulk of the liquid, deaerating and deflating the system. In addition to its fast action in knocking down formed foam, the product offers long-lasting effectiveness, characteristics achieved thanks to state-of-the-art emulsification techniques.

Use and Applications
The product has been successfully used in the production of inks and printing pastes; in the production of chemical auxiliaries; in water treatment, including in biological plants where silicone cannot be used; in paint booths and in many other situations where it is necessary to use a defoamer composed of non-silicone raw materials.
The dosage varies depending on the application. In water treatment, 1 part of defoamer per 10,000 parts of liquid to be treated may be sufficient. If used as a formulation additive, it is dosed in a percentage ranging from 0.05% to 0.5% by weight of the formula. However, the optimum dosage is obtained following preliminary tests.

Storage
The storage temperature should preferably be between 5 and 35 °C. The product is sensitive to frost. The product is stable for 6 months from the packaging date.
