FIPRO DEFOAM 174 is a 100% active substance defoamer suitable to control and eliminate foam generated by any type of resin used in the production of paints and varnishes.
As well as exerting an effective action against foam during the mixing phase, it is an excellent de-foaming agent when the product is finished.
FIPRO DEFOAM 174 is also suitable for controlling foam in aqueous solutions containing paint residues such as in spray booth water flow cycles. FIPRO DEFOAM 174 is characterised by a very high performance.
Usage and Applications
To obtain a good result, it is advisable to dose the product in concentrations between 0.1 - 0.3%.
FIPRO DEFOAM 174 can be introduced at any stage of processing without any inconvenience to the final preparation.
It is advisable to add half a dose of the product before dispersion, in order to obtain an antifoaming action, and to add the second half at the end of processing, to obtain a defoaming-dispersing effect.
In spray booths, FIPRO DEFOAM 174 must be placed at a point of maximum turbulence to allow good dispersion of the product in the reflux water. Generally, in spray booths, the application rate is 0.1% of the volume of water to be treated. Depending on the amount of excess paint present in the water film, a periodic addition of FIPRO DEFOAM 174 must be calculated in order to keep the foam level under constant control.

Storage
The storage temperature should preferably be between 5 and 35 °C. The product fears frost. The product is stable for 6 months from the date of packaging.
