FIPRO SG 578 is a solvent with very high degreasing power and a high evaporation rate, leaving manufactured parts perfectly degreased and free of oily residues on the surface. It can be used for cleaning metal surfaces, for graphics, and for the production of paints, but also in the textile, engineering, and automotive industries in general, and in the transport sector. For use in contact with resins, rubbers, and paints, it is advisable to carry out preliminary tests to verify the compatibility of the product with the material to be treated, by immersing a sample of the material itself in FIPRO SG 578 for a few hours.
In the mechanical sector, it is used for degreasing metal surfaces, either inter-operational or prior to painting or other treatments. It has been designed for all cleaning operations, by wiping or immersion, where the use of pure chlorinated solvents is not recommended. FIPRO SG 578 removes contamination consisting of oils, dust, grease, etc.
Use and Applications
Immersion use:
Simply immerse the parts to be cleaned in the product, preferably with gentle agitation, especially in the presence of solid particles and/or adhering chips.
The product should be used at room temperature. The drying speed of the parts depends on the operating temperature: when working in cold environments, it is advisable to let the parts drain thoroughly after removal, and leave them exposed in a ventilated environment for at least ten minutes to allow complete drying. The product can very conveniently be used in the presence of ultrasound to accelerate degreasing. This is particularly useful if the surfaces are soiled with adhering solid residues.
Cloth/brush application:
The product is particularly suitable for application by cloth or brush. In this case, the mechanical rubbing action, combined with the softening and solvent power of the product and its penetration capacity (even where tolerances are extremely tight), allows for the perfect and rapid cleaning of the treated parts.

Tanks and Storage
All parts in contact with FIPRO SG 596 can be constructed with chrome-nickel steel, AISI 321 or chrome-nickel-molybdenum steel, AISI 316Ti. For transport, storage, handling, and discharge of wastewater, follow current guidelines and regulations. For further information on the product, consult the Safety Data Sheet. Store the product in its original, sealed packaging, in a cool place, protected from frost and direct sunlight.
