FIPRO SG 575 is an alkaline liquid formulated with modern detergents for spray degreasing in washing machines and wash tunnels, or it can be used by immersion.
This product possesses high cleaning properties against emulsifiable and neat oils even at low concentrations, and has excellent rinsability. This characteristic makes it suitable for use in pre-phosphating where, in addition to a very high degree of cleanliness, the complete absence of alkaline detergent residues in the subsequent phosphating phase is also required.
Thanks to the aid of special additives, it is characterized by good anti-oxidant properties.
FIPRO SG 575 is used on ferrous materials and stainless steel. Depending on the temperature, concentration, contact times, and type of alloy, FIPRO SG 575 can be used, subject to compatibility testing.
Use and Applications
The product is used in spray washing machines at a concentration of 30-80 g/l at a temperature ranging from 50 to 60°C, depending on the material treated and the contaminant to be removed. Under the same operating conditions, it can also be used in immersion systems. In the case of application on zamak, copper, and magnesium, it is recommended to operate at temperatures not exceeding 60°C.
The preparation of new baths or periodic additions must be carried out by slowly pouring the product and stirring the bath, avoiding caustic splashes. Do not make massive and rapid additions of the product.

Bath control
The bath is titrated by determining the alkalinity with bromocresol green indicator and N/10 HCl titrating solution, operating as follows: take 5 ml of the bath using a graduated pipette, add 3-5 drops of bromocresol green and titrate with N/10 HCl until the solution changes color from blue to yellow. The number of ml of N/10 HCl consumed in the titration multiplied by 4 gives the concentration of the bath in g/l. For each missing point and for every 1000 liters of bath, add 4 kg of FIPRO SG 575.
