FIPRO SG 593 is a liquid alkaline degreaser formulated for the pre-treatment of iron, steel, galvanised steel and alloy surfaces before phosphating them.
FIPRO SG 593 is particularly suitable for use by spraying and dipping.
Bathroom control
Take 10 ml of bath using a graduated pipette, place in a conical flask, add 50 ml distilled water and 2 ÷ 3 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
Titrate with 0.1 N sulphuric acid until the colour changes from red-violet to colourless.
The number of ml of 0.1N sulphuric acid consumed for colour change indicates the bath score of FIPRO SG 593.
A bath prepared at 30 g/l has a bath score of approximately 4.8.

Usage and Applications
FIPRO SG 593 is used in aqueous solution, by spraying and/or dipping, in combination with a suitable degreasing additive (recommended by Fiprokim Technical Service) under the following operating conditions:

Power supply
If the score falls below its initial value, feed the bath with FIPRO SG 593 at a rate of 6.3 kg per missing point and per 1000 litres of bath.
Tanks and Storage
Store product in original packaging in a cool, dry place, protect from frost.
All parts in contact with FIPRO SG 593 can be made of normal carbon steel.
