FIPRODISK 103 is recommended for the removal of scale from galvanized material and stainless steel with minimal attack on the base metal.
Recommended for galvanized sheet metal and stainless steel parts where the use of common hydrochloric acid-based descalers is not recommended due to the characteristics of the system's metal.
Being acidic, FIPRODISK 103 is particularly aggressive, but thanks to suitable inhibitors, this action is highly buffered and safe even on galvanized substrates.

Use and Applications
The product is used at the recommended dilutions, by immersion or recirculation, at room temperature for galvanized material, and also hot for steel.
For galvanized material, do not exceed 3-4 hours of contact with the metal, as the material could be attacked.
Once the "descaling" action is complete, rinse thoroughly with running water and neutralize the product with a passivating agent such as FIPROPLUS 724 for galvanized surfaces or alkaline corrector ALCAFIP 250 for stainless steel surfaces.
It is recommended to use the product in PVC-lined tanks or, if small in size, in polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.

Bath control
Take 10 ml of the solution to be titrated and transfer them into an Erlenmeyer flask/beaker
Add 5-6 drops of Methyl Orange indicator. The solution will turn deep red.
Titrate with 1 N sodium hydroxide until a persistent yellow color of the solution is obtained.
To obtain the concentration in g/l, multiply the value obtained by the fixed number “24.5”. For example, a solution at 100 g/l (10%) will have a value equal to 4.1 ml of NaOH.
Precautions & Storage
FIPRODISK 103 is acidic. Therefore, standard precautions for using an acidic product are recommended.
Avoid contact with and inhalation of the product. Wear rubber gloves and respiratory protection. If, however, the product comes into contact with the skin or eyes, wash thoroughly with water and consult a doctor. Keep the container tightly closed in a well-ventilated, cool, and dry place.
