FIPRODISK 103 is indicated for the removal of encrustations from galvanised material and stainless steel with minimum attack of the base metal.
Industrated on galvanised sheet metal and stainless steel parts where the use of common hydrochloric acid based descaling agents is not recommended due to the metal characteristics of the system.
As an acid, FIPRODISK 103 is particularly aggressive but thanks to suitable inhibitors this action is particularly buffered and safe even on galvanised substrates.

Usage and Applications
The product is used in the recommended dilutions, immersion or recirculation, at room temperature for galvanised, also hot for steel.
For galvanised material, do not exceed 3-4 hours of contact with the metal as the material may be attacked.
On completion of the "descaling" action, rinse thoroughly with running water and neutralise the product with passivating agent such as FIPROPLUS 724 for galvanised surfaces or alkaline corrector ALCAFIP 250 for stainless steel surfaces.
It is recommended to use the product using PVC coated tanks, or if small in polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.

Bathroom control
Take 10 ml of the titre solution and place in an Erlenmeyer flask/becker
. Add 5-6 drops of Methyl orange indicator. The solution will turn a deep red colour.
Titrate with sodium hydrate 1 N until the solution becomes a persistent yellow colour.
To obtain the concentration in g/lt, multiply the value obtained by the fixed number "24.5". For example, a 100 g/l (10%) solution will score 4.1 ml NaOH.
Precautions & Storage
FIPRODISK 103 is acidic. The normal precautions for using an acid product are therefore recommended.
Avoid contact and inhalation of the product. Wear rubber gloves and respiratory protection. However, if the product comes into contact with skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and consult a doctor. Keep container tightly closed, in a ventilated, cool and dry place.
