Technical specifications

FIPROPLUS 717 is an acid-based additive used as a 'starter' to increase the trivalent iron content in newly formed nitric acid-free stainless steel pickling baths. Increasing the concentration of trivalent iron provides excellent pickling speeds even with a new bath.

Usage and Applications

FIPROPLUS 717 is used in pickling baths for stainless steel formed with FIPROSTEEL 762. The trivalent iron content in FIPROPLUS 717 is approximately 110 grams/litre. Therefore dose the product in such a quantity as to have the desired iron content in the pickling bath.
