FIPROPLUS 717 is an acid-based additive used as a "starter" to increase the trivalent iron content in newly prepared nitric acid-free pickling baths for stainless steel. The increase in trivalent iron concentration allows for excellent pickling rates even with a fresh bath.
Use and Applications
FIPROPLUS 717 is used in pickling baths for stainless steel formed with FIPROSTEEL 762. The trivalent iron content within FIPROPLUS 717 is approximately 110 grams/liter. Therefore, dose the product in such a quantity as to have the desired iron content in the pickling bath.
