FIPROPLUS 925 is an acidic liquid degreaser formulated for cleaning ultrafiltration membranes, for the deoxidation of cast iron and steel molds, and for the descaling of systems.
FIPROPLUS 925 is a mild deoxidizer designed to prevent oxidation phenomena which, by degenerating, can form post-drying stains and/or stains following line stoppages in the rinse tanks, after the hydrochloric acid pickling phase.
FIPROPLUS 925 is fully compatible with treatments subsequent to the pickling process, such as cold rolling and/or hot-dip galvanizing.
Use and Applications
FIPROPLUS 925 is used, in aqueous solution, under the following operating conditions:
Bath temperature: from 20 to 70°C
Treatment time: from 15 to 30 minutes with recirculation
Bath make-up: 10-300 g/l
The Fiprokim Technical Service will provide the optimal operating conditions during the plant start-up phase.

Bath control
Take 10 ml of the bath using a calibrated pipette, place them in a flask, dilute with distilled water and add 3 ÷ 5 drops of phenolphthalein indicator in alcohol solution. Titrate with 0.1 N sodium hydroxide until a persistent pink color is obtained. The number of ml of 0.1 N sodium hydroxide consumed for the color change gives the points of the FIPROPLUS 925 bath. A 2% bath has a points value of approx. 13.5.

Replenish the bath with FIPROPLUS 925 in at the rate of 1.5 kg for each missing point and for each 1000 l of bath.
