FIPROSTEEL 764 is a liquid pickling and de-rusting agent for stainless steel, used to degrease and decontaminate any traces of ferrous contamination on stainless steel surfaces.
It is formulated without hydrofluoric acid, in order to avoid the hazards associated with the toxicity of this acid. It is an important treatment because, in addition to removing processing grease, it decontaminates and improves the aesthetic appearance of the surfaces, as it tends to enhance the pre-existing gloss. Unlike traditional stainless steel pickling baths, it offers the advantage of not burning the parts, regardless of the temperature and immersion time in the bath. If the operating conditions are respected, its lifespan is very long, measurable in years.

Use
Use PVC-lined iron tanks, or if small in size, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc. Dilute FIPROSTEEL 764 1:1 with water by volume.
Immerse the parts in the solution prepared in this way at room temperature.
The immersion time can vary from a few minutes to over 1 or 2 hours, depending on the type of steel, its thickness, the type of oxide, and the temperature.
During the cold season, if necessary, the solution can be heated with rubber coils and steam passage, or Teflon-coated heating elements, heating to a maximum of 30°.
