METALFIP 325 is an acidic mixture designed for descaling and deoxidizing processes on metal surfaces. Ideal for degreasing and deoxidizing cycles on aluminum surfaces, in preparation for subsequent pre-paint conversion treatments. It can be used for the treatment of stainless steel surfaces. Do not use the product on iron, cast iron, and yellow alloys.
Use and Applications
The primary use of METALFIP 325 is in static immersion treatment plants.

Solution monitoring
Take 10 ml of the bath to be analyzed and transfer them into the flask
Add 5-6 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
Add 100 ml of distilled water
Titrate with N/10 sodium hydroxide until a persistent pink coloration of the solution is obtained.
The ml of N/10 Sodium Hydroxide consumed in the titration indicate the total acidity of the METALFIP 325 bath.

Power supply
To obtain the concentration in g/l, multiply the value obtained by the fixed number “2.9”.
Then bring the concentration to the required value, adding 2.9 Kg of product per 1000 L of bath for each missing point.
For a solution at 10 g/l, the points are approx. 3.5 ml of 0.1 N sodium hydroxide.
