Technical specifications
METALFIP 328 is a product for deoxidising and phosphating ferrous materials simultaneously. It forms
a coating consisting essentially of iron phosphates, particularly suitable for preparing material for painting.
METALFIP 328 contains antioxidants, and is therefore recommended for pre-painting lines with low chain speed or for those plants where frequent stops in production are possible.
METALFIP 328 can also perform an effective degreasing action when used in conjunction with a suitable surfactant agent. It can also be used on non-ferrous surfaces, on which, however, it exerts only a de-rusting action and, if appropriately additivated, also a degreasing action.

Controlling solutions
Take 10 ml of bath with a calibrated pipette,
. Pour into a flask, dilute with distilled water, add 3 - 5 drops of methyl orange indicator
Titrate with NaOH 0.1 N until the colour changes from red to a persistent yellow.
The ml of NaOH 0.1 N consumed for colour change gives the bath score.
A bath prepared at 60 g/l has a liquor score of about 33.9 ml.
Power supply
Fill with METALFIP 328 at a rate of 1.76 kg (equal to 1.25 litres) per 1,000 litres of bath.
Precautions
Material that comes into contact with METALFIP 328 must be acid-proof - AISI 316 L.
For transport, storage, handling and unloading follow the instructions and laws in force.
. Avoid improper handling of the packaging, which can lead to product spillage.
Protect against frost, store away from heat sources and direct sunlight, keep containers tightly closed.
