METALFIP 329 is a liquid product for deoxidizing and degreasing the surfaces of aluminum and its alloys before their chemical treatment.
The chemical composition is based on inorganic acids and non-ionic surfactants in aqueous solution.

Use and Applications
METALFIP 329 should be used in an aqueous solution, by spray, under the following conditions:

Control of solutions
The bath control is carried out by determining the total acidity:
Take 10 ml of the bath
Pour it into a flask/beaker
Add 40-50 ml of demineralized water
Add 4-5 drops of phenolphthalein indicator
Titrate with 0.1 N sodium hydroxide (NaOH) until the color changes from colorless to a persistent pink.
The consumption in ml of 0.1 N NaOH for the color change represents the total acidity and the bath points, which for a preparation at a concentration of 20 g/l is approximately 15.5.
It is also always necessary to check the aluminum content in the solution.
The check must be carried out as follows:
after determining the total acidity, add 1-2 grams of sodium fluoride NaF to the same sample and stir for about one minute.
titrate with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid until a colorless solution is obtained, persisting for at least one minute. The consumption in ml of 0.1 N hydrochloric acid provides the aluminum points.
Power supply
For each point of acidity consumed, add 1.3 kg of METALFIP 329 for every 1000 l of bath.
When the aluminum score exceeds 15, partially renew the solution.
Precautions
All parts in contact with METALFIP 329 solutions must be made of AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel, or structural carbon steel lined with PVC, polyethylene, polypropylene, or polyfluorinated plastics.
For transport, storage, handling, and wastewater discharge, follow the instructions and current regulations.
Avoid improper handling of packaging which may cause product spillage.
Protect from frost, store away from heat sources and direct sunlight, keep containers tightly closed.
