METALFIP 329 is a liquid product for deoxidising and degreasing surfaces of aluminium and its alloys before their chemical treatment.
The chemical composition is based on inorganic acids and non-ionic surfactants in aqueous solution.

Usage and Applications
METALFIP 329 should be used in aqueous solution, by spraying, under the following conditions:

Controlling solutions
Bath control is performed by determining the total acidity:
.Take 10 ml of liquor
. Pour into a flask/becker
. Add 40-50 ml demineralised water
Add 4-5 drops of phenolphthalein indicator
Titrate with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) 0.1 N until colourless to persistent pink colour change
The consumption in ml of NaOH 0.1 N for toning represents the total acidity and bath score, which for a preparation at a concentration of 20 g/l is about 15.5.
It is also always necessary to check the aluminium content of the solution.
The control should be done as follows:
after determining the total acidity, add 1-2 grams of sodium fluoride NaF to the same sample and shake for about one minute.
title with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid until a colourless solution is obtained, persisting for at least one minute.
The consumption in ml of 0.1 N hydrochloric acid gives the aluminium score.
Power supply
For each point of acidity consumed, add 1.3 kg of METALFIP 329 per 1000 l of bath.
When the alumina score becomes higher than 15, partially renew the solution.
Precautions
All parts in contact with METALFIP 329 solutions must be made of AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel or of structural carbon steel coated with PVC or polyethylene or polypropylene or polyfluorinated plastics.
For the transport, storage, handling and discharge of wastewater, follow the instructions and laws in force.
Avoid improper handling of packaging that may cause product spillage.
Protect from frost, store away from heat sources and direct sunlight, keep containers tightly closed.
