FIPROPHOS 1151 is a phospho-degreaser, designed to provide the treated part with an iron phosphate conversion with coating weights between 0.4 and 1,3 g/m2.
FIPROPHOS 1151 consists of phosphates, surfactants, coating regulators, oxidation inhibitors, and line-stop inhibitors.
Use and Applications
PREPARATION OF A FIPROPHOS 1151 BATH
Fill the tank with clean water
Activate the system and heating
Add the amount of product required to reach the desired concentration (preferably in the pump suction area)
Run the system for 5 - 10' to allow the bath to homogenize

Bath control
Take 10 ml of the bath to be analyzed. Transfer to an Erlenmeyer flask and add 50 ml of demineralized water. Add 4-8 drops of phenolphthalein solution.
Using a graduated pipette, titrate with 0.1N sodium hydroxide until a pink color appears.
The ml consumed indicate the bath points.
Points Concentration
3.3 1%
6.6 2%
9.9 3%
These values are to be considered upon bath preparation.
Therefore, it is recommended to determine the titer before adjusting the pH.
Then, once the bath has been adjusted to the correct working pH, proceed with a second determination of the points. The ml consumed will be the reference value to be maintained.

Power supply
For each missing point of total acidity, add 3.0 kg of FIPROPHOS 1151 per 1000 liters of bath.
Storage
FIPROPHOS 1151 is an acidic product; therefore, avoid contact with eyes and skin.
It is recommended to handle the product with rubber gloves and protective clothing.
Avoid impacts and improper handling of packaging that may cause product leakage. Protect from frost, store away from heat sources, and keep containers tightly closed in areas protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
