FIPROPHOS 1152 is a liquid phosphodegreasing agent for the treatment of ferrous, galvanised and aluminium articles in spray systems. Formulated with a special detergent package, it provides good results already at room temperature, without foaming. It forms an iron phosphate deposit on the treated ferrous metal, which improves paint adhesion and, at the same time, increases resistance to underfilm corrosion.
If articles heavily contaminated with oil or grease are to be treated, the Fiprokim Technical Service will advise on the use of a suitable degreasing additive.
After treatment with FIPROPHOS 1152, the material must first be rinsed by spraying with pressure (1 ¸ 2 bar) for 1 ¸ 3 minutes at room temperature and then with demineralised water.
To further improve the final result, the use of suitable passivating products for ferrous material is possible.
Usage and Applications
FIPROPHOS 1152 is to be used in aqueous spray solution under the following conditions:
Treatment time: 1 ¸ 4 minutes
Use temperature: environment ¸ 50°C
Concentration: 10 ¸ 30 g/l
Bathroom score: 3.2 ¸ 9.6 points total acidity

PREPARATION OF SOLUTIONS
For every 1000 litres of solution use 10 to 30 kg of FIPROPHOS 1152.
Fill the tank with water and bring it up to working temperature; then add the predetermined quantity of FIPROPHOS 1152 with the pumps running and circulate the solution for at least 10 minutes before the first material to be treated enters.

Bathroom control
Take 10 ml of sample
.Add 4-5 drops of phenolphthalein indicator and titrate with a 0.1 N sodium hydrate solution.
The number of ml of sodium hydrate 0.1 N used represents the bath score.
For a bath prepared at 20 g/l, it should equal approximately 6.3.

For each missing acidity point, add 3.2 kg of FIPROPHOS 1152 per 1000 l bath.
