Technical characteristics
FIPROPHOS 510 is a liquid phospho-degreaser suitable for the pre-painting treatment of ferrous materials, aluminum, and zinc.
The surfactants contained in the product are non-foaming in nature. This allows the product to clean even at room temperature without causing problems of excessive foaming.
The product FIPROPHOS 510 effectively removes machining and stamping oils and other greasy contaminants from metal surfaces, imparting a phosphate conversion coating weight of 0.3-0,6 g/m2 to the treated surface.
Thanks to its formulation, it can be used where a strong deoxidizing action combined with a phosphating action is required.
To increase the degreasing power and the lifespan of the solutions, specific additives can be added, such as our degreasing additive FIPROPLUS 701.

Use and Applications
PREPARATION OF A BATH
Fill the tank with clean water
Activate the system and the heating
Add the quantity of product required to reach the desired concentration (preferably in the pump suction area).
Run the system for 5-10 minutes to allow the bath to homogenize

Bath control
Take 10 ml of the bath to be analyzed and transfer them into the flask
Add 5-6 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
Add 100 ml of distilled water
Titrate with N/10 sodium hydroxide until a persistent pink color of the solution is obtained.
The ml of N/10 Sodium Hydroxide consumed in the titration indicate the total acidity of the FIPROPHOS 510 bath.
Power supply
To obtain the concentration in g/l, multiply the value obtained by the fixed number “3.5”.
Then bring the concentration to the required value, adding 3.5 Kg of product per 1000 L of bath for each missing point.
For a solution at 10 g/l, the points are approx. 2.9 ml of 0.1 N sodium hydroxide.
Warnings
FIPROPHOS 510 is an acidic product, therefore avoid contact with eyes and skin.
It is recommended to handle the product with rubber gloves and protective clothing.
