Technical specifications
FIPROPHOS 526 is a liquid phosphodegreasing agent suitable for pre-painting treatment of ferrous material, aluminium and zinc.
The surfactants contained in the product are non-foaming in nature. This allows the product to work even at low temperatures without creating problems of excessive foaming.
FIPROPHOS 526 effectively removes machining oils, moulding oils and other greasy contaminants from metal surfaces, giving the treated surface a phosphate conversion of 0.3-0.6 g/m2.
Thanks to its formulation, it can be used where a strong deoxidising action combined with a phosphating action is required.
To increase the degreasing power and durability of solutions, special additives can be added, such as our degreasing additive FIPROPLUS 701.

Usage and Applications
BATHING PREPARATION
FILL BATHTUB WITH CLEAN WATER
Turn on the system and heating
. Add the necessary amount of product to reach the desired concentration (possibly in the pump suction area).
Run the system for 5-10' to allow the bath to homogenise
.

Bathroom control
Take 10 ml of the bath to be analysed and place in the flask
. Add 5-6 drops of phenolphthalein indicator
Add 100 ml distilled water
Titrate with sodium hydrate N/10 until the solution is a persistent pink colour.
The ml of Sodium Hydrate N/10 consumed in the titration indicate the total acidity of the bath of FIPROPHOS 526.
Power supply
To obtain the concentration in g/lt multiply the value obtained by the fixed number "3.5".
Then bring the concentration to the required value by adding 3.5 kg of product per 1000 litres of bath for each missing point.
For a 10 g/l solution the score is approx. 2.9 ml of 0.1 N sodium hydrate.
Storage
FIPROPHOS 526 is acidic in nature, therefore avoid contact with eyes and skin.
We recommend handling the product with rubber gloves and protective clothing.
