WATERFIP 877 is a paste product developed for the coagulation of paints in water-curtain spray booths. It is suitable for treating water-based and solvent-based paints, even those difficult to denature (polyesters, alkyds, acrylics, melamines, high-solids, UV-curing).
WATERFIP 877 offers countless advantages: it has no hazard labeling, keeps the recirculating water clear and odor-free, and forms non-sticky, non-adherent sludge that can be easily and quickly removed from the systems.
Use and Applications
WATERFIP 877 is used as is, at an initial concentration of 0.5 – 2.5 kg of product per cubic meter of water to be treated.
Subsequent additions are made based on the paint overspray, normally at a rate of 3% - 50% of product relative to the amount of paint sprayed, using automatic dosing systems.
The correct dosage of WATERFIP 877 is determined during the plant start-up phase.
In case of manual dosing, to ensure good consistency in paint denaturing, product additions should be made at short and regular intervals.
Dosing should, however, be carried out in an area of high turbulence (e.g., near the recirculation pump) as this measure ensures good mixing and a significant improvement in coagulation and flotation.
