WATERFIP C 204 is an acidic product to be used as a paint coagulant in water-curtain paint spray booths. Treatment with WATERFIP C 204 allows the production of a non-sticky, easily removable sludge that floats to the surface or settles to the bottom depending on the nature of the specific gravity of the pigments contained in the paint. WATERFIP C 204 is active at pH values ranging from 8.5 to 9.5. These values depend on the concentration of the product and the type and quantity of paint present in the bath.
Use and Applications
WATERFIP C 204 is used in industrial painting systems that use solvent-based or water-based paints. In large painting stations, to extend the life of the water volume and facilitate periodic cleaning and maintenance operations.
WATERFIP C 204 must be added to the paint booth water to maintain an operating pH between 8.5 and 9.5.
Its liquid form and excellent compatibility with water allow for easy and convenient dosing with suitable dosing pumps. Of course, it can be dosed manually for small systems. WATERFIP C 204 is generally used in concentrations ranging from 3 to 7 g/l calculated on the water volume, but the dosage can vary significantly depending on the overspray present in the painting system.
