WATERFIP C 204 is an acidic product to be used as a paint coagulant in water-based spray booths. Treatment with WATERFIP C 204 produces a non-sticky, easily removable slurry that is layered on the surface or deposited on the substrate depending on the nature of the specific weight of the pigments contained in the paint. WATERFIP C 204 is active at pH values ranging from 8.5 to 9.5. These values depend on the concentration of the product and the type and quantity of paint in the bath.
.Usage and Applications
WATERFIP C 204 is used in industrial painting plants using solvent-based or water-based paints. In large painting stations to extend the life of the water volume and facilitate periodic cleaning and maintenance.
WATERFIP C 204 must be added to spray booth water to maintain an operating pH between 8.5 and 9.5.
WATERFIP C 204 can be easily and conveniently dosed using suitable dosing pumps. It can of course be dosed manually for small systems. WATERFIP C 204 is generally used in concentrations of 3 to 7 g/l calculated on the volume of water, but the dosage can vary considerably depending on the overspray in the coating system.
