Rust protection for metal parts machined on the tool in the interval between machining finished metal objects for storage after sandblasting or lapping. Protection of machinery, also in the food industry, during downtimes. FIPRO DK 406 is suitable for "Indoor" protection.
Tests carried out at a relative humidity of 95% + 2 % and at 49°C have shown that the film left by FIPRO DK 406 protects clean or sandblasted iron surfaces against oxidation for 30 days.
Surfaces treated with FIPRO DK 406 appear clean and dry.

Methods of use
FIPRO DK 406 is applied by dipping, brushing or spraying (not atomised).
For a better protective effect, metal parts must be cleaned and rinsed before treatment.
In cases where less protection is sufficient, it can be diluted up to 50%. by volume with white spirit or kerosene. The protective film can be removed with alkaline degreasers or the solvent type. With 4 litres of product, 3-12 m2 of surface area is treated, depending on the application method, temperature and porosity of the metal.
Drying in a ventilated oven at low temperature, or by evaporation of the solvent at room temperature.

Containment tanks must be made of iron and have a conical or sloping bottom, equipped with a drain valve to eliminate water stratifying on the bottom. There is no analytical control of the product. Feed according to level.
