Rust preventive for machined metal parts in the interval between processing steps, and for finished metal objects for storage after sandblasting or lapping. Protective for machinery, including in the food industry, during shutdown periods. FIPRO DK 406 is suitable for “Indoor” protection.
Tests carried out at a relative humidity of 95% + 2% and at 49°C have shown that the film left by FIPRO DK 406 protects clean or sandblasted iron surfaces from oxidation for 30 days.
Surfaces treated with FIPRO DK 406 appear clean and dry.

Instructions for use
FIPRO DK 406 is applied by immersion, brush, or spray (non-atomized).
For a better protective effect, metal parts must be cleaned and rinsed before treatment.
In cases where lower protection is sufficient, it can be diluted up to 50% by volume with mineral spirits or kerosene. The protective film can be removed with alkaline or solvent-type degreasers. With 4 liters of product, 3-12 m2 of surface area can be treated, depending on the application method, temperature, and porosity of the metal.
Drying in a low-temperature ventilated oven, or by solvent evaporation at room temperature.

The holding tanks must be made of iron and have a conical or sloped bottom, equipped with a drain valve to remove the water that stratifies at the bottom. Analytical control of the product is not required. Feed according to the level.
