FIPRO SG 1025 is a liquid alkaline formulation used for spray or immersion degreasing (with and without ultrasound) of iron, steel, aluminium, brass and copper materials.
FIPRO SG 1025 consists of an aqueous solution of polyphosphates, surfactants, silicates, soaps, agents
sequestering, sanitising and disemulsifying agents.
Suitable for cleaning after moulding, cutting, or deforming. It is able to remove high amounts of dirt and grease, even pigmented, as well as fatty acid compounds from drawing operations. Due to the high polymer phosphate content it can also be used in the presence of hard water without risk of sludge.
Usage and Applications
FIPRO SG 1025 is to be used, by spraying or dipping, in an aqueous solution, under the following operating conditions:
Treatment time 1' ÷ 5'
Bath temperature 50 ÷ 80 °C
Concentration 2 ÷ 6 %
Optimum use values will, however, be fixed by Fiprokim's Technical Service, on a case by case basis, at the time of plant start-up, according to the quality and quantity of the foreign substances to be removed present on the surface of the material and the type of plant itself.

Bathroom control
Bath control is done by periodic determination of total alkalinity.
. Take 10 ml of the bath and place it in an Erlenmeyer flask. Add 50 ml of demineralised water. Add bromocresol green indicator. The solution will turn blue. Titrate with 0.1N acid until it turns yellow. The ml of acid consumed represent the bath score.
A bath prepared at 20 g/l has a bath score of 4.4 ml.
Or multiply the ml of 0.1N acid by the factor to obtain the concentration.
Concentration g/l = ml 0.1N acid X 4.54.

Power supply
The liquor must be checked periodically (at least once or twice a day) and maintained at the concentration set at the time of start-up. For every 1000 litres of bath, add 4.5 kg of product.
.Storage
Take the product out at > 5 °C; if it has crystallised, bring it back to a temperature of > 5 °C and mix it (crystallisation does not lead to any change in the chemical-physical properties of the product and therefore does not alter its performance).
