FIPROSTRIP 292 is a liquid paint stripper suitable for hot treatment in immersion and recirculating systems of painted parts made of iron, aluminium, zinc and alloys.
Due to the variety of materials that can be treated, preliminary tests are recommended.
FIPROSTRIP 292 is a product specially designed to dissolve powder coatings.
The product must not be placed in contact with water, as it is not compatible with it and would alter its characteristics.
Usage and Applications
The product is used pure, immersion or recirculation, and performs best at temperatures between 50 and 60 °C. The contact time depends on the type and amount of paint to be removed, as well as the temperature, and usually varies between 20' and 120'.
Once the parts have been treated, rinse thoroughly with water.

Control of bathrooms
The liquor must be checked periodically and topped up if necessary in the event of a drop in paint stripper performance.
Take 10 ml of the bath sample, add 100 ml of demineralised water.
Add a few drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
Titrate with 1 N hydrochloric acid until the pink colour disappears.
The amount of acid consumed for the colour change gives the bath score, which must be between 12 and 17.

Power supply
The concentration of FIPROSTRIP 292 is maintained by adding fresh product under agitation in quantities of 170 kg of product for every point less than 12 per 1000 litres of liquor.
Paint residues can be conveniently removed by adequate decantation and subsequent filtration (e.g. with separators and/or filter presses). The solution will thus have a considerably longer life time.
Storage
Tanks for the use of FIPROSTRIP 292 must be made of steel, preferably stainless steel, and be fitted with a closing lid to minimise evaporation losses.
