The product FIPROSTEEL 785 is a fluoride-free product based on organic and inorganic acids, designed for the cleaning, pickling, and brightening of stainless steel components.
FIPROSTEEL 785 has high degreasing and brightening power.
Its low emulsifying power extends the lifespan of the solutions, as the oils separate from the solution, facilitating their removal.
FIPROSTEEL 785 has high deoxidising power, easily removing light layers of oxides and/or carbonaceous particles.
Use
FIPROSTEEL 785 should be used in an aqueous solution, by spray or immersion, under the following operating conditions:
Treatment time: from a few minutes up to 25'
Bath temperature: from room temperature to 55°C
Bath preparation: use at concentrations between 2% and 7%
Treatment times will be established by the Fiprokim Technical Service during the plant start-up phase and may vary depending on the type of material to be treated.
Rinse thoroughly with water after treatment.
For the solution containment tanks, use stainless steel of the 316L series or, preferably, lined with acid-resistant material (for example PP).

Control
Frequently and periodically check the concentration of the solution by determining the free acidity (points) using the following method:
take 10 ml of the solution to be analyzed using a graduated pipette and place it in a flask
add approximately 100 ml of demineralized water
add 4-5 drops of bromocresol green indicator
titrate with 0.1N NaOH (0.1 N sodium hydroxide) until the color changes from yellow to green
A bath prepared at 20 g/l has a point value of approximately 12 points (ml of 0.1 N sodium hydroxide consumed), while one prepared at 70 g/l has a free acidity of approximately 42 points.

Feeding and operation
The bath must be maintained at the concentration values established during the system start-up phase by adding product while the solution is in motion.
For each missing point of free acidity, add 1.67 kg of FIPROSTEEL 785 per 1000 liters of bath. The product is suitable for automatic feeding via conductivity measurement.
