METALFIP 329 is a liquid product for deoxidizing and degreasing the surfaces of aluminum and its alloys before their chemical treatment.
The chemical composition is based on inorganic acids and non-ionic surfactants in aqueous solution.

Usage and Applications
METALFIP 329 must be used in aqueous solution, by spray, under the following conditions:

Control of solutions
The control of the bath is carried out by determining the total acidity:
Take 10 ml of bath
Pour them into a flask / beaker
Add 40-50 ml demineralized water
Add 4-5 drops of phenolphthalein indicator
Titrate with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) 0.1 N until colorless to persistent pink.
The consumption in ml of 0.1 N NaOH for toning represent the total acidity and the bath score which for a preparation with a concentration of 20 g / l is about 15.5.
It is also always necessary to check the aluminum content in the solution.
The check must be done as follows:
After determining the total acidity, add 1-2 grams of sodium fluoride NaF to the same sample and shake for about a minute.
Titrate with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid until a colorless solution is obtained, persistent for at least one minute. Consumption in ml of 0.1 N hydrochloric acid provides the aluminum score.
Alimentation
For each acidity point consumed, add 1.3 kg of METALFIP 329 for every 1000 l of bath.
When the aluminum score becomes higher than 15, partially renew the solution.
Precautions
All parts in contact with METALFIP 329 solutions must be in AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel or structural carbon steel coated in PVC or polyethylene or polypropylene or polyfluorinated plastics.
For the transport, storage, handling and discharge of wastewater, follow the indications and laws in force.
Avoid improper handling of the packages that can cause product spillage.
Protect from frost, store away from heat sources and direct sunlight, keep containers tightly closed.
