Technical features
Fipro AK 49 is a water-based product consisting of a balanced mixture of volatile amines that perform an anticorrosive action towards the steam and condensate lines, neutralizing dissolved carbon dioxide and raising the pH.
Thanks to the different vapor-liquid distribution ratios of the components, Fipro AK 49 performs its neutralizing-alkalizing function in all points of the distribution system which may be at different pressure levels, thus ensuring optimal regulation of the pH.
Fipro AK 49 is a very versatile product and is preferably used in medium-high pressure steam generators present in most industrial thermal power stations.
Fipro AK 49 contains raw materials compliant with FDA 21 CFR 173.310 regarding additives for boiler water.

Usage and Applications
The dosage of Fipro AK 49 is based on the pH value of the condensate which must be controlled in the range from 8.8 to 9.2 with a minimum of 8.2. This dosage depends on various factors (CO2 content, system characteristics, feed water, pressure, etc.) and must be defined by the Fiprokim Technical Service.
Fipro AK 49 can be dosed as it is or diluted with demineralized water in any ratio, and injected into the boiler water supply line.

Storage
Fipro AK 49 is supplied in different packages and should be stored in closed containers away from direct sunlight. The product, if stored under the recommended conditions, is stable for one year.
