Fipro AK 49 is a water-based product made up of a balanced mixture of volatile amines that exert an anticorrosive action on steam and condensate lines, neutralising dissolved carbon dioxide and raising the pH.
The Fipro AK 49, thanks to the different vapour-liquid distribution ratios of the components, performs its neutralising-alkalising function at all points of the distribution system that may be at different pressure levels, thus ensuring optimal pH regulation.
Fipro AK 49 is a very versatile product and is preferably used in the medium-high pressure steam generators found in most industrial thermal power stations.
Fipro AK 49 contains raw materials that comply with FDA 21 CFR 173.310 regarding boiler water additives.
Usage and Applications
The dosage of Fipro AK 49 is based on the pH value of the condensate, which must be controlled in the range from 8.8 to 9.2 with a minimum of 8.2. This dosage depends on several factors (CO2 content, system characteristics, feed water, pressure, etc.) and must be defined by Fiprokim Technical Service.
Fipro AK 49 can be dosed as such or diluted with demineralised water in any ratio, and injected into the boiler feed water line.
