Technical specifications
FIPRODISK 104 is a product based on inorganic acids and special corrosion inhibitors, suitable for dissolving inorganic deposits of a calcareous nature in pipes or heat exchangers.
FIPRODISK 104 cleans the walls of such deposits without attacking the metal part and is particularly suitable for installations without particular corrosion problems.

Usage and Applications
The FIPRODISK 104 succeeds in dissolving limescale deposits inside pipes.
The special corrosion inhibitors contained protect metal surfaces during cleaning and prevent corrosion phenomena.
FIPRODISK 104 is used in 5 to 20% aqueous solution.
At this concentration it can be kept in circulation for at least 6-7 hours for cleaning purposes.
The concentration of use is a function of the amount of carbonate to be dissolved.
Theoretically 1 kg. of FIPRODISK 104 is able to remove 0.45 kg. of calcium carbonate at 20°C.
For descaling injection pipes soiled with cement, proceed as follows:
Prepare in an acid resistant container approx. 200 litres of 20% solution of FIPRODISK 104.
Create a split circuit so that the descaling solution can be recirculated (the FIPRODISK 104 solution fed into the pipes to be descaled returns to the container from which it is pumped back into the circuit).
The duration of the treatment depends on the thickness of the fouling and the speed of the descaling liquid. Generally speaking, the time required is between 40 and 70 minutes.
After treatment provide a thorough rinse with disposable water.
Before discharging, the descaling solution must be neutralised with soda lime to pH 7-8.
On completion of descaling treatment, the circuit must be drained and rinsed.
After the rinsing phase, an appropriate passivating agent must be used to neutralise and form a protective film on the metal wall. If necessary, the amount of FIPRODISK 104 present in the solution can be determined by titration.

Bathroom control
Take 10 ml of the titre solution and place in the Erlenmeyer flask
. Add 5-6 drops of Methyl orange indicator. The solution will turn a deep red colour.
. Titrate with sodium hydrate 1 N until the solution becomes a persistent yellow colour.
To obtain the concentration in g/lt multiply the value obtained by the fixed number "21".
Highlights
Inhibited, so it does not give rise to corrosion in the treated system.
Applications
Greasing basins and lines
. Water circulation circuits (heat exchangers, boilers, etc)
